My husband and I have started to follow an 16/8 fasting regime where we
restrict our eating to an 8 hour period. However, we like to have a cup of coffee with cream around 7 am.
Should we delay that cup of coffee till 11 am, when we start eating?

The short answer is “if you have a coffee at 7am, you start your clock at 7am”. You have to remember that exposure to light, ie: sunlight, will also start your clock. This makes it difficult to actually start at 11am. People seem to view time restricted eating as a separate entity to the circadian rhythms when in fact, they are intertwined. I guess the key thing here is being firm in your starting point, ie: food and/or light. Hope this helps but if you have any more questions, please feel free to send them along.
